A friendship that is dear to my heart.

Val & Luke are some of my very best friends and when they asked me to document the most important day of their lives, my heart skipped a beat.

They have been together since high school. A love that has lasted over a decade. Marriage was not something they felt like they needed in order to commit to each other forever, but after the loss of Lukes mother & brother, something shifted. Life is too short and they wanted to experience it all.

I have never met two people more ideal for each other, yet so perfectly different. Val has this effortlessly classic vibe about her and speaks with purpose and passion. She is not only a wonderful person, but an incredibly supportive friend. Luke has a massive beard, listens to metal, is usually dressed in all black and absolutely adores Val. You can feel the love and affection they have for each other just by looking at them.

The Wedding

They got ready separately, had a first look, said their vows under a giant oak tree and danced the night away with their best friends and family.

It was an intimate & simple day full of cheers and warmth.
