It is amazing to see her slinging three cameras while simultaneously taking a formal portrait with one and capturing a breezy, candid moment with the other (It is truly something to behold). She is a master at noticing everything from the smallest, delicate details to how the light will hit the entire room in 30 min. Not only is she skilled, she is personable, prompt, and was able to get us (a camera shy couple) to relax. We were AMAZED at what she was able to see and create. “My partner and I were beyond satisfied with Sam’s services. We have never received professional photographs, but felt it was absolutely necessary to document my pregnancy. Sam helped us decide the best location for these photos based on the time of year we were doing them. She checked in, and gave advice, about the best time of day to take the photos so we could get the best natural lighting. Due to her availability, she was even open to switching days since the weather would be nicer the following day. Sam came in with warm positive energy. She played relaxing music to set the environment. Having no experience posing, Sam was able to confidently place us. She had several ideas for photos based on our environment and type of shoot we were receiving. Coming in with ideas of shots we wanted, she was able to incorporate those as well. Last but not least, we had a very playful dog that seemed to get in every photo. Sam was so helpful in one handedly playing with her while capturing and directing shots. We received several posed and candid photos, which encapsulate exactly what we had hoped. Sam's passion and creativity can be seen throughout her photos. Truthfully, I was absolutely nervous about receiving professional photos since I’m not well in-front of the camera, but Sam made me feel very comfortable and self-assured. “We booked Sam for a family session to capture our growing family and she was awesome! She responded quickly to emails, answered all of our questions and was so easy to work with. She’s organized, professional, friendly and very talented.
I don’t love having my picture taken and can be awkward in front of the camera, but Sam made me feel comfortable and was able to get so many great photos. She directed the shoot seamlessly and captured our family so naturally. She was also super patient despite our two and a half month old fussing throughout the session.
Sam sent us a handful of sneak peaks quickly to hold us over until the full gallery was available. We are obsessed with the photos! I literally have a hundred favorites and can’t even count how many times I’ve looked at them.
